Welcome to Freshman Year!

Welcome to Freshman year of High School!

This year you will be studying the ancient historical time period along with literature from the ancients through around 1500 ad.

Algebra can be found on teachingtextbooks.com  You will want to borrow a stylus and drawing pad for doing calculations onscreen with this program.

Your foreign language is also online with an actual teacher.  You will need headset and camera on your computer. You can practice at theulat.com

Science this year is Biology--mom's favorite! The textbook link is CK-12 Biology  Labs will be done online at Beyond Labs

          Christopher's Narrations

The linked document is where to go to write your daily narrations.

Please begin each day's work at the top of the page, not at the bottom of the previous day's work.  This will allow me to quickly find and read your narrations.

LABEL your  work!  Please include the number of the day and the title of the book or abbreviated title before each daily narration.  For example, the Memoria Press reading from day 1 week 1 could be labeled:  Day 1 MP.  Then hit the return key and  begin a new indented paragraph for your narration.

The year's plan is broken out into terms and weeks for scheduling purposes, but the thing to pay attention to is what day you’re on. If you miss a day, just pick up with the next day the next time you do school, and keep going until you get to Day 180, at which point you will be finished.

The artist we will study for the first 12 weeks will be Vincent van Gogh

The composers we will study for the first 12 weeks will be Gustav Mahler and Anton Bruckner
